MSA Classic 2010

On Sunday 3rd October, lovers of the less modern motor car line up with their engines revving for the annual MSA Classic run.

They start from seven places - the farthest north being Nottingham and deepest south being Dorking - and converge on Rockingham International racing circuit in Northamptonshire.

The aim of the day is simple: get to the destination in one piece and have as much fun as possible on the way. Entry is open to any car that is more than 20 years old and the day provides ample opportunity for driving your car and admiring the hundreds of other gleaming classics.

The routes are around 170 miles and take in some of the best driving roads in the country. Each route has four or five checkpoints along the way, including the Castle Combe racing circuit in Wiltshire, the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone and the National Motorcycle Museum in Coventry.

For the oldest cars, and those who think they or their classic might not be up to the journey, there is a shorter route of 100 miles starting at the Williams F1 collection in Oxfordshire.
